Frequently Asked Questions

Can I download a Reel using only its Instagram link?

Not with this frontend-only version. The Reel page URL does not itself provide the direct video file. A permitted media URL or a suitable authorized backend/API is needed for automatic retrieval.

Why might a direct video download fail?

The media host may block cross-origin requests, require authorization, expire the URL, or prevent direct downloads. This tool cannot override those restrictions.

Does this tool download private Instagram content?

No. It does not bypass privacy settings or request account credentials. Only access content you own or have permission to download.

Can automatic Reel downloading be added later?

Yes, if a suitable, authorized API or backend is available. Its terms, costs, privacy requirements and actual media retrieval capabilities must be checked before integration.
